JAMMIES BRIGADE, PART FOOTY

The JAMMIES BRIGADE thread is hugely successful -- at least being widely read -- thanks to a group of other blog sites that linked to that thread and the logos from earlier today and last evening.
Michelle Malkin's blog, predominantly, has referred over 2,000 hits to the thread alone and that's only since this morning (referrals continue as I write this).
My thanks to Michelle Malkin, INDC, Power Line, Right Thoughts, Pajama Editors, Llama Butchers and THE CURT JESTER, among several others, for linking to the JAMMIES BRIGADE logos and this site...I hope that we Pajamahadeen will continue to grow in our warmth and fuzziness, fine and dandy right down to the very nape of our keyboards.
Later Update: the daily page visits are now way past 3,000 and still counting...the Pajamahadeen LIVES!

Suzy, noticed a link on your page to one of the bad guys from Mars Attacks.
I love that movie.
Has to be one of my favorite Jack lines...
"I want the American people to know that they've got two out of three branches of government working for 'em, and that ain't bad!"
Funny, I feel like that most of the time. Sometimes not even two...

Is there a story behind the photo?
Well, as to story behind the photo used in that context, it just seemed to befit the general purpose...Glenn Reynolds as...um, well, The Martian Ambassador, in relationship to BIRD.
I'm no detractor of Reynolds, just that the entire 'BLOG BRIGADES' movement thing started over a year ago when there were "blog wars" underway to try to dislodge Reynolds from his #1 Google rank and site visits by other, mostly conservative, bloggers...so, there were these various blog roll alliances started for that purpose, and the one that is headed (left column) by that "bird" logo requires that you publish a dummy statement by Reynolds (you can go read the story if you select the link at the "bird" logo for the Alliance)...
So, what with my film alliances as blogger/site/artist/etc., I just found the use of that Martian Ambassador pix with the dreaded BIRD aflyin'...you know...just seemed to work.
