BIRD COMMENTS SECTION
Dear Readers:
The TypeKey registration process for commenting has been in place for BIRD for a while now, out of concern for and about spammers and other ickier issues.
However, when it gets so complex as it has just a moment ago, when and that I cannot even comment on my own blog due to TypeKey announcing I'm not registered even after I've registered (replete with a cookie on file), I'm now going to allow BIRD's Comments Section to function with site registration only (departing TypeKey registration).
I know several people who read BIRD have written that they don't comment here because of the TypeKey registration process, so I've had my doubts about TypeKey for a while, already, including other complications. I'm finding it (the TypeKey comments registration involvement in this site, as with others) by theory to be an intrusive process.
So, comments can now be made at BIRD by site registration process (user I.D. and email required) but I'll not be hesitating to delete problematic guano.

HOORAY! There have been lots of things I wanted to comment about. And I just couldn't get in at all.
I didn't realize that people were prevented from commenting by TypeKey, just that it required registration. So sorry -- although in your case I now recall you mentioning earlier (email) that you encountered technical problems with the feature, which I (inaccurately, in retrospect) perceived to be something related to your browser, since the TypeKey function worked for me and a few others.
Glad to now include you in the comments feature, looking forward to reading more of what you want to express here!
