EARTHQUAKE

Birds went silent outside and then the whole place started to shake, computer monitor shook first, very subtle shake, then severely and then also severely the whole home structure here (my house)...08:41/2 A.M., PST.

Sizable, quick quake and intense, sorta' side-to-side "pushing" effect so I am thinking that there is probably a more intense quake that's taken place somewhere else.

Because, these sort of sudden and intense quakes felt in California, when they are short in duration as this one just was (here in South Coastal Orange County, CA), almost certainly mean that there's a more intense jolt nearby or along a mutual fault line elsewhere.

The birds are still silent outside, which is odd and more than a tad spooky, despite the shake having lasted just a minute or so.

Update 08:53 A.M.: birds renewed their chirping, which puts me a bit more to ease...haven't yet heard any news about any or more intense quake(s) elsewhere.

Another Update 08:59 A.M.: FOX News is now reporting a "5.8 earthquake near Palm Springs (CA)" (the screen display reads, "5.6 quake").
