BD10337_.gif There are permanent links in this blog's left-hand column for a group of reliable organizations that make it easy and efficient to send care packages to United States military personnel (randomly or by individual name). Since most of us are well fed, secure and making merry this day -- as with many days -- of our freedom and opportunities for good lives here in the U.S., we have much to thank Americans in service for.

I was just reading through anysoldier.com and randomly selected a few names of soldiers, to read the comments they'd posted there with appreciations and requests (please, go read what's written there by thousands of soldiers), and came across more than a few requests: tuna packages (not canned), OXYpads, DVDs, toiletries of most kinds, cookies and protein bars being among the most recurring and most frequently requested.

I'm committed to sending any soldier via anysoldier.com a care package and soon and I sure hope that all who read this will, too. It's the least that can be done to thank them.

BD10337_.gif Visit and make use of, also, Treats for Troops to send care packages and correspond with soldiers. Share the gratitude and let them know how much America cares.
