BOTH PARTIES ARE FAILING THE AMERICAN VOTERS

"DEAN CALLS THE BORDER TOP PRIORITY" and millions of American voters realize that means the DNC is playing the lowdown dangerous game of amnesty and open borders, just like notorious "NeoCons" are.

What Tony Snow (to oppose illegal immigration, in Snow's words, is to be a "neo-Know Nothing") leaves out of his flowery articles, along with the word, "illegal": "JUSTICE DEPT. FIGURES ON INCARCERATED ILLEGALS" and "THE COSTS OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION (search results)".

Whoopee, "eight executives arrested." Boy, ICE must really be tired. I'm venturing to allege here that most American voters are pretty tired of the avoidance, sidestepping and public relations busts.

In other words, if Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff is serious about the problem, show us. Because, I voted for President Bush (twice) but I have no faith remaining that he's going to apply real solutions to the very real problems of illegal immigration and border insecurity other than giving stage room for John McCain to continue doing his avoidance dance, with John Kerry predictably appearing today (clip on FOX News but I'll include a print link once one is available about Kerry's ongoing bombast using citizenship-for-free-for-illegal-aliens) to service McCain/Kennedy (and certainly to service himself, John Kerry) with the notion that American citizenship can be bestowed at will by the Senate. This is all more than enough to make every single American hero from the Revolutionary War forward cry.

My best reminder to the worst Congress and perhaps Executive Branch I've seen since Bill Clinton's years: if there are no United States borders, there can be no "guests" nor no American citizenship -- and without the citizens, there can be no country and no jobs for election or re-election for anyone.

So, do the right thing: help the Minutemen -- America's first responders -- build the southern security wall and forego doling out free citizenship based upon which illegal aliens have managed to persevere the most years in committing illegal behaviors. Otherwise, it's a sure bet that history will remember the Minutemen well but I can't say as much about the rest of the players in this issue, beyond a few denigrating passages about lost hopes and failed possibilities.
