Obviously, Roger Friedman had other things on his mind other than APOCALYPTO when he wrote his "review" of that film. At best, he at least reveals what's really occupying him, even if it (succinctly stated, above) is buried in the bowels of what he's wrought.

I have not yet seen APOCALYPTO but complaining about "blood" and "mastication" as does Friedman in the context of a depiction of the Mayan civilization's downfall and process of self-destruction is the equivalent of relishing in the-good-times-had-by-all-during-the-Holocaust: it's misplaced and bespeaks of a derisive subtext by whoever writes such messaging. My guess is that what Friedman is really bugged about is Mel Gibson and more than likely about Jesus Christ and that film Gibson made a while ago about Him.

I thought the low point here was when Have-I-Told-You-I'm-Jewish-Roger-And-That-Mel-Gibson-Is-Anti-Semetic-Friedman called Gibson "a marked man..."
It's truly pitiful that Have-I-Told-You-I'm-Jewish-Roger-And-That-Mel-Gibson-Is-Anti-Semetic-Friedman would even dare to apply such a phrase, particularly given history in the full range of it's desperation where Have-I-Told-You-I'm-Jewish-Roger-And-That-Mel-Gibson-Is-Anti-Semetic-Friedman is concerned.
Marks and marked men...this is like someone who developes a sickness/illness and then lies there wishing everyone else would "get it" and why I believe God reminds us that vengeance is His...and why resentment is, indeed, a festering disease in those who nurture (or even embrace) it.
Not to mention the Liberal media which appears to be fueled by a "gotya and getem" game. But dash-Friedman-dash is truly insipid and otherwise woeful, as are his peers among a segment of Hollywood who "vow" revenge and various blood-lusting and then complain about of offense at the sight of blood-lust. And they wonder why there are wars, my God.
