I THOUGHT I HEARD HIM SAY, "JUMP IN FRONT OF THE TRAIN - O.K., BYE-BYE NOW"

Excuse me while I laugh myself nearly sillier in my attempts to type this:

Dem party leader Howard Dean made a pit stop here. "I'm hurrying to make the 9:05," said the former gov of Vermont and former temporary presidential contender. The 9:05 what? "Train to Washington." But, said a bigmouth who looks like me, "You're a semi high-class person. How about a plane? Or car and driver? "No. I take the train. If people recognize me I just say, 'Vote Democratic.' I also take the subway to the train." Dean, who was filling himself with peanuts at that moment, will be back again June 6. An event at the San Remo. I can't wait to take a photo with him on the BMT.

Clearly Cindy Adams has never even heard of those low-class things called "trains" and Howard Dean never gets enough peanuts but he never.ever sees a public transportation person who does.not.need his advice.
