320wde_Obama-Down_McCain-UP_Saddleback.jpg Unanimous response from us among the Right: McCain lept forward by bounds in the visit with Rick Warren at his Saddleback Church this past weekend. And, Obama -- who I certainly don't support politically but who I'd anticipated would do reasonably well or at least, well enough -- fell flat in his visit with Warren in the same venue, preceding McCain's visit.

Obama appeared downright unfriendly -- to the audience present and to the audience via the televised event. He was tense, his body language dismissive, turning away from the audience, facing Warren throughout the entire visit, nearly negating any impression of "availability" to the public: stiff, rigid in body while his speech was meandering and wandering on most responses to Warren's specific questions. But most offensive to me was Obama's continued redirection (or, perhaps, interpretation) of Warren's questions about a myriad of issues to a focus about himself, about "Barack." Listening to him go on about himself as he did to what extent he did, while providing a number of conflicted or obfuscated responses on issues, was not only uncomfortable to watch and hear, but also offensive.

McCain made a great impression, to the contrary of that made by Obama. He upped the enthusiasm immensely among the Right, he refreshed the hesitations about his candidacy for the Presidency to rally those hesitations to confidence, and interacted favorably with all present, Warren, the audience, us the viewers of the broadcast.

What I saw and heard from and about Obama was a somewhat unfocused, impatient but reasonably nice guy named Barack Obama whose mind is busy and occupied but whose character appears evasive and because of that, manipulative.

What I saw and heard from and about John McCain was a man ready to handle the conflicts and pressures of the United States Presidency with focus and wisdom, succinct and available, and most of all, protective of our nation.

I now feel far more confident in voting for McCain this Fall and let's hope he continues to surprise us with increased delights, as he displayed this past weekend from Saddleback Church.

Wizbang's Jay Tea has written a good post about the event -- the real question emerging after Saturday's Saddleback event is that Obama and campaign immediately began the blame-game about McCain and everyone else when it became clear that Obama did badly (the comments on Jay's post are a good read, too):

THE REAL QUESTION AFTER SADDLEBACK

National Review's Kathryn Jean Lopez discusses Obama's woeful denigration of Supreme Court Justice, Clarence Thomas - perhaps, "inexplicable" is more appropriate a description:

DOUBTING THOMAS

The biggest offense of the night, however, was Obama's deceitful response about his position on abortion (and about partial-birth abortiion, specificall), his ensuing denigrations about Republicans allegedly "lying about" him and his position (while his legislative history reveals Obama to be lying, not Republicans), and Obama's later admission when confronted about his own deceit, that he was, in fact, not being "truthful."

Obama has had the weekend - two days since - to revise his opinions, while, horribly, no child who loses their opportunity to live the life they would otherwise live has such an opportunity when they are instead mortally victimized by acts made possible by legislation that Obama has both supported and enabled.

From MIchelle Malkin (with links):

LIES, DAMN ABORTION LIES, AND OBAMA'S SMEAR OF PRO-LIFERS, and,
IS OBAMA...PULLING ABORTION STATS OUT OF HIS WAZOO?

All told, I now feel much more confident in my intended vote this Fall for John McCain. And I hope that McCain selects Mitt Romney for the Vice Presidential position.

HOW McCAIN COULD WIN

250wde_ArghTharBeLettuceMcCain.jpg All McCain would have to do to secure a win -- if not a very big win -- this Fall would be to, tomorrow, stop over in Mexico and tell Mexico to provide for it's own citizens, that the U.S. isn't going to give any more millions (or billions) to Mexico for any reason whatsoever until Mexico reimburses the U.S. for, well, maybe so much as one-percent of the costs over the past, oh, say, five years that the U.S. has spent on healthcare, housing, food and educations for Mexican Nationals, and that if they don't like that, they can just lump it.

Or, say something approximating that, even so much as related to that. The important thing would be to see, hear and read that McCain has taken a realistic and affronting, blunt tact with Mexico (if not most of Central America -- Costa Rica not included): no more "Hispanic/Latino" pandering, just an entire turnaround by McCain in all things related to that general theme, a permanent end to this catering to crime and exploitations of our nation (and that includes our borders and our immigration laws) by a presumed ticket-to-pass, the Hispanic/Latino ethnicity (or, that which they themselves define as their "blood" that is their "race"). (Same goes for all exploitive attempts and movements by way of race and/or ethnicity -- Obama's not excluded here, nor is his campaign.)

McCain can decidedly (and apparently, easily) go all the way to Columbia -- an allied democracy with the U.S. who does deserve our nation's respect -- but he still can't come out in front of this ridiculous pandering issue as to certain ethnic supremacists. I don't hear/read that Columbia's engaged in this game but the nations (and their populations) of Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaraugua, Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia and parts of Brazil are, so, why fool around with this hand-holding language with ethnicists who never seem to ever, actually, like the U.S. no more than they respect our boundaries.

What I'd really appreciate hearing is a Presidential candidate (and President) emphasizing the importance and value of U.S. citizenship and why there are requirements involved, and that these requirements and conditions must be respected. Because I've yet to understand -- academically or intellectually -- how it is that someone from another nation is entitled by sheer basis of their DNA to U.S. citizenship, and/or to "bypass" the laws of the U.S. in regards entry, residency and use of our nation.

McCain could win and win easily if he showed a degree of the fortitude and candor of, say, Dwight ("Ike") Eisenhower:

...Fifty-three years ago, when newly elected Dwight Eisenhower moved into the White House, America's southern frontier was as porous as a spaghetti sieve. As many as 3 million illegal migrants had walked and waded northward over a period of several years for jobs in California, Arizona, Texas, and points beyond.

President Eisenhower cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and decisively with only 1,075 United States Border Patrol agents - less than one-tenth of today's force. The operation is still highly praised among veterans of the Border Patrol (...read the full article).

HOW EISENHOWER SOLVED THE ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSINGS FROM MEXICO

220wde_ObamaJustEatsWaffle.jpg Because there are many voters who really -- really -- want to see this problem solved by our government and solved immediately. Obama's not going to solve it, he's going to work the burgeoning of the problems into more monstrous proportions than they are already (Obama wants illegal aliens -- and their families -- and more of both -- to receive "national healthcare" in the U.S., billed to the U.S. taxpayers, to the detriment of taxpayers and citizens alike economically and resulting in deprived access to healthcare options for taxpayers and citizens), and McCain's still devoting far more attention if not "sensitivity" to Hispanic/Latino ethnic-supremacists (and their various nations of reference, meaning, not the U.S.A. as to this "amnesty for illegal aliens" issue) than many of us can, in turn, respect about him.

So, win the Election this Fall, McCain, stand up for the U.S.A. and be like Ike.

"ARE DEMS TALKING ABOUT McCAIN'S AGE IN CODE?"

Yes, yes they are.

Though I would relegate the talk they're talking to Obamabonics and not to "code," because, this is the latest translation of the same old language and the language is the thing, that's the thing to analyze.

For those who hunt, are keen in perceptions as to what sounds mean what, what's being roasted and crackles, spits and puffs away is today's Obamabonics that's replaced yesterday's Kerry Kuts and Gore's flaming. But it's the same misleading language, just today with a different accent: Obamabonics, "code speak" for "I support but I deny."

The code-speak applies like marrow keeps a bone together (albeit, an ill bone with dubious filling), but, binding and filler, the speak is there for the observant: "say it, betray it" and "uphold it, scold it."

As to John McCain's age, yes, of course the Democrats are ridiculing John McCain's age -- it's all-the-heck everywhere on the internet, for starters, it's sprinkled all over and in whatever Democrats dish-out, it's impossible not to step in it all over the place. Obama says it, the Democrats betray it, Obama upholds it, the Democrats scold it (and far worse), and then Obama gets to laugh among his more predictable crowds (San Francisco, Chicago, Democrat legislators, segregated supporters, Wright's "church", etc.) that it is, after all, an aged competitor, poured out like bad wine by Obama with that indecent, false laugh.

What it is is dishonest speech, reflective of bad character. I don't expect too much more this year from the Left, but, in Obama's case, he's got this code-speak language thing down badly because he leaves crumbs all.over.the.place and the rest of us would have to be blind and deaf not to read and hear it.

Unfortunately for our nation and this world, the limitations of youth -- despite youth's abundancy otherwise -- are that they learn by failure when they survive failure and what hasn't yet been proven to fail, they often follow. It's why they can be so easily led astray and all of us who are now older were once younger and that's why those of us who've survived to older ages keep an eye and ear out because we know that some of those sounds are by predators, or, by bad things that bring youth to an end.
